Abstracts for WMIC 2009 Due in May
April 14, 2009 - Abstract submissions are due on May 11, 2009, for the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC 2009), which will be held from Sep. 23-26 in Montreal.
The current rate of submission suggests that WMIC 2009 will receive more abstracts than for WMIC 2008. The group is using a new submission system, Abstract Central, a ScholarOne product.
Abstract Central is configured to collect disclosures of financial relationships directly from each co-author. Every co-author will receive an email urging them to access the system and complete their disclosures. All co-authors are required complete their disclosures in order for an abstract to be accepted for presentation.
Abstract Central is designed to enable affiliation consistency and accuracy by requiring the submitting author to create affiliations first and then to add authors, selecting the proper affiliation for each author.
WMIC 2009 has arranged for Abstract Central to create an account for each submitting author who participated in previous WMIC, JMIC or SMI.
WMIC 2009 will embrace all aspects of molecular imaging, and, except for the first day's Educational Sessions, the program will be constructed almost entirely on the strength of submitted abstracts.
