Cardiocom Receives U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs National Contract

The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) has awarded one of six national contracts to Cardiocom for home telehealth devices and services. Cardiocom will supply VA with its telehealth products and services, including Commander Home Telehealth Monitoring System, Interactive Voice Response System and Omnivisor Patient Management Software.

"We are honored to be selected by the Department of Veteran Affairs to provide Cardiocom's innovative telehealth solutions to improve the care of Veteran Patients," said Daniel L. Cosentino, CEO and president.

The Commander device and measurement tools, including weight scale, blood pressure and pulse oximeter, will be used to transmit veteran patients' vital sign and symptom data from the comfort of their homes. The Interactive Voice Response System offers an additional solution for patients to communicate health status data with VA clinicians using their own standard telephone or cell phone. Omnivisor Patient Management Software provides VA care coordinators the ability to monitor patients with home devices or voice response inputs from a single software platform. This can help to determine if the patient requires additional medical care.
