Cardiovascular Enhancements Added to Acuson S2000 Ultrasound
October 8, 2010 – New features in the 2.0 version of the Acuson S2000 ultrasound system released today cover the entire continuum of care for vascular and cardiac imaging.
The cardiology upgrades improve clinical confidence and increase workflow efficiency with a number of advanced applications. Dynamic TCE tissue contrast enhancement technology is a powerful new algorithm, which provides advanced speckle reduction and enhanced contrast resolution for more detailed images, and is now available on all phased array transducers. The Acuson S2000 system, release 2.0 can perform intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) with the Acuson AcuNav ultrasound catheter. Live dual display functionality enables simultaneous viewing of B-mode and color Doppler images with the push of a single button, eliminating extra keystrokes and improving workflow efficiency.
Expanded eSieScan workflow protocols offer more flexibility to streamline workflows, while stress echo and clip capture enhancements provide more options when performing exams. Anatomical M-mode corrects for off-axis alignment to deliver anatomically accurate M-mode imaging to further enhance diagnostic confidence.
