July 31, 2009 – Heart Force Medical Inc. this week received FDA clearance for its digital Ballistocardiograph (dBG), a noninvasive device to assess cardiac performance by measuring and monitoring the mechanical action of the heart.

The Heart Force dBG 300 is a standalone, portable unit containing sophisticated digital sensors that assesses cardiac function by sensing the seismic (contraction) forces generated by the heart. These forces are captured by accelerometers in a sensor placed on the chest. The waveforms are transmitted to a laptop computer for analysis by a physician.
