The Welch Allyn Holter System is a reportedly easy-to-use software and recording device that helps caregivers detect abnormalities in a patient’s heart rhythm over an extended period of time. The system aims to improve patient comfort (and compliance) with its lightweight, compact profile and can be configured with the caregivers' choice of both software and recorders, reportedly maximizing flexibility by giving fast, easy and cost-effective access to the electrical activity of a patient’s heart.

The software options — Welch Allyn Office Holter Software or Welch Allyn Expert Holter Software — are said to feature fast transfer of recordings, intuitive, easy-to-use menus and detailed analytic features that can help make diagnostic decisions.

In addition, Welch Allyn Expert Holter Software comes equipped with advanced capabilities that allow comprehensive editing and more detailed analytics, said the company.

Aside from a choice of software options, Welch Allyn Holter Systems can also be configured with the caregiver’s choice of recording system. The HR-300 recorder comes equipped with a screen display for real-time ECG preview or test programming and remote initialization, while the HR-100 recorder features two- or three-channel recording and pacer detection for up to 48 hours in a small, lightweight package.
