MDG, Allscripts Partner for Interfaced Diagnostic EMR Solution

August 8, 2008 - Midmark Diagnostics Group (MDG), the industry leader in integrated digital diagnostic devices for ambulatory care, said this week its IQmark digital diagnostics products now interface directly with and are certified for use with the Allscripts Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution.

MDG and Allscripts partnered to offer what the companies say is the most robust interface possible between MDG’s IQmark’s Digital ECG, Digital Spirometer, EZ Holter and Advanced Holter and Allscripts to optimize connectivity and workflow for healthcare providers.

MDG connects to Allscripts through the company’s Universal Application Integrator (UAI), an innovative application that enables certified third-party vendors to quickly and easily connect their best-of-breed medical devices and software applications to electronic health record solutions from Allscripts. Additionally, MDG offers functionality beyond the standard UAI interface, providing physicians streamlined diagnostic workflow and increased efficiency in their practices. The companies say this interface optimizes workflow as well as offering additional capabilities such as review, editing and serial comparison all within one unified interface.
