MR System Captures High-Resolution Heart Beats

Toshiba's Vantage Titan MRI is designed to capture higher resolution heart images, while capturing deeper imaging of the anatomy. This is possible due to the center eight elements of the cardiac coils being smaller and the outer eight elements of the cardiac coils being larger on the Vantage Titan according to Toshiba.

The open-bore of the 1.5T system is approximately 18 percent larger than other 1.5T systems and features a 71 cm patient aperture and a 55 x 55 x 50 cm field-of-view for clinicians. The Vantage Titan also has homogeneity specification of two parts per million over 50 x 50 x 50 DSV and a 1.4 meter magnet length.

The system was cleared by the FDA in 2008.
