November 27, 2011

November 27, 2011 – Agfa HealthCare announced it has teamed up with Schiller America Inc., to distribute Agfa’s Impax HeartStation. Schiller is an international manufacturer and supplier of electrocardiographs (ECG), stress and cardiopulmonary exercise testing; the company also manufactures long-term ambulatory Holter ECG and blood pressure recorders, spirometers, medical IT solutions, patient monitors and external defibrillators.

The collaboration will make Impax HeartStation available through Schiller to hospitals, clinics, and physician practices. HeartStation will also be coupled with Schiller’s ECG carts as a complete turnkey solution to help manage ECG images electronically.

“Through this joint effort, we will be in a position to be able to provide our current and future customers a complete solution to capture, store and interpret cardiac information electronically so it can be acted upon by the cardiologist at the point of care,” said David Helowicz, general manager, Schiller America Inc.

Impax HeartStation is an ECG management system that automates the processing, storage, and display of electrocardiograms throughout a healthcare enterprise. Its extensive interoperability translates ECGs from resting, ambulatory, monitoring devices into a universal, easy-to-read format. The system also integrates cardiac reports from stress, Holter and event monitoring applications; the system reports are vendor neutral.

Study data from multiple exams can be rapidly accessed, making possible review, serial comparison, editing, and electronic signing of ECGs throughout the hospital enterprise.

Agfa will display in booth #8350 in the North Hall at RSNA 2011.
