Siemens Adds Candelis’ ImageGrid to its Portfolio

Aug. 30, 2007 - Siemens Medical Solutions announced that it has added the ImageGrid Archive Appliance from Candelis Inc. to its Accessory Solutions global product portfolio, in order to offer Siemens customers an affordable DICOM storage solution.

Fully compliant with DICOM standards, ImageGrid is designed to provide healthcare facilities a scalable, cost-effective storage solution to accommodate the increasingly larger volumes of data and images generated by medical imaging modalities, such as mammography, computed tomography (CT), molecular imaging and ultrasound.

Because ImageGrid is a lower cost solution for archiving and managing healthcare data, according to Alex Razmjoo, CEO, Candelis Inc., the product represents a paradigm shift in digital medical image archiving.
