ACC2: Agfa HealthCare Demonstrates Scheduling for Cardiology
Agfa HealthCare's Scheduling for Cardiology solution, a Web-enabled scheduling solution for resources management within cardiovascular departments, has been designed to be configurable to multiple, personal-based workflows. Scheduling for Cardiology’s Web-based architecture provides viewing and management of resource availability from any point of access to the hospital network. The system effectively allows multiple departments to leverage the secure infrastructure to streamline system-wide scheduling.
Scheduling for Cardiology integrates with the Agfa Scheduling solution, an electronic appointment scheduler for cardiology, radiology, surgery and other patient-care departments. To ensure maximum user-friendliness, the entire Agfa Scheduling suite design has been based on extensive customer usability studies and evaluations; the latest Cooper design guidelines; and the most recent software development technologies.
Practically, this means that its design reduces the number of clicks required to complete a task and the whiteboard function provides complex state and resource utilization information visually, for example. In addition to these features, seamless connectivity with IHE-compliant systems such as Hospital Information Systems (HIS) improve efficiency and help reduce redundancies. Data needs to be entered only once to be available to all authorized care providers.
