Cardiology Function Adds Value to RIS-PACS System
Introduced this past year and highlighted at RSNA 2009 was Infinitt’s Cardiology PACS, a Web-based suite of clinical and reporting tools for cardiac, cardiovascular and vascular Imaging.
The system currently offers templates for 14 procedures, and more are planned. The system allows cardiac catheterization quantitative coronary analysis, stenosis identification, calculation of stenosis diameter, percentage, obstruction/reference diameter, and segment length. It can help calculate global and regional ejection fractions. Echo Measurements include velocity, stress wall motion scoring, stress echo measurements, calculations and advanced post-processing.
Noninvasive vascular functions collect and manage data electronically, helping improve workflow and simplifying data submission for ICAVL accreditation/reaccreditation. Infinitt said its cardiology system also helps in creation of statistical reports for comparison of noninvasive vascular findings with invasive cath studies. Other statistics can be used for monthly management or accreditation reports.
Invasive echocardiography report templates are included for transthoracic echo (TTE), transesophageal echo (TEE),
dobutamine stress (DSE), and stress echo (SE). Cardiac catheterization lab templates include coronary arterial bypass graft (CABG), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), electrophysiology, hemodynamics, and statistics.
Noninvasive vascular templates include carotid/cerebrovascular, lower extremity venous, lower extremity arterial, lower extremity duplex, lower extremity physiologic, upper extremity venous, upper extremity arterial, upper extremity vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, transcranial Doppler, aortic, abdominal venous, TCPO2, and dialysis.
All report templates auto-populate data and the company said electronic signatures help streamline report management and speed time to billing and reimbursement. Standardized reporting is compliant with accreditation standards.
