Disposable Ambulatory Cardiac Rhythm Monitor Offers Simple Operation

May 13, 2010

An easy-to-wear, single-use, continuous ambulatory cardiac rhythm monitor yields high-quality diagnostic information, while providing greater patient comfort and improved compliance. The Zio Patch monitor is being offered through a partnership between iRhythm's and St. Jude Medical. The co-marketing partnership includes iRhythm's Zio Event Card, a cardiac rhythm event monitor. The monitoring system helps simplify the complexities of cardiac rhythm monitoring in order to streamline the referral process and promote timely access to specialty care. The monitor is designed to be more cost-effective than traditional Holter monitors for triage and diagnose of patients potentially experiencing arrhythmias. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared the Zio Patch in May 2010. For more information: www.sjm.com, www.irhythmtech.com
