eCardio Diagnostics Offers Atrial Fibrillation Information System

May 18, 2009

eCardio Diagnostics' Web-based Atrial Fibrillation Information System (AFIS) helps physicians manage patient data, images and ECGs in one electronic medical record tailored specifically for AF patients.

The informatics solution provides a longitudinal view of AF and tachyarrhythmic patients for teaching, research and clinical management. The company says it is the first comprehensive software application that gathers all clinical information in one place for AF patient management.

The system stores multimodality imaging studies, procedural reports, clinical notes, and patient history. The system allows for calculation of the left atrial scar. The information can be stripped of patient identifiers so it can be mined for clinical research and to participate in registries.

The first installation was at the University of Utah School of Medicine in early 2009.
