HD System Enhances Anatomical Detail
Sony Electronics will showcase its new IPELA PCS-HG90 high-definition, IP-based visual communication system at RSNA 2007.
Just as HDTV enhances television color and clarity, high definition imagery used in the IPELA visual communication system reportedly allows the medical community to see details of a patient’s anatomy with four times the resolution of standard-definition technology. In addition to the IPELA visual communication system, Sony will present its comprehensive line of print solutions for a full range of radiology modalities. Among the new and signature products on display will be the UP-D74XRD, a compact high-speed 8-by-10 thermal digital film and paper imager; the flagship FilmStation Dry Film Imager, the UP-D77MD full-page DICOM color printer, as well as the DVD-1000MD medical-grade DVD recorder.
