Heart Force dBG 300 Allowed Digital Ballistocardiograph
July 31, 2009
The Heart Force Medical Inc. digital Ballistocardiograph (dBG) is a noninvasive device to assess cardiac performance by measuring and monitoring the mechanical action of the heart.
The Heart Force dBG 300 is a standalone, portable unit containing sophisticated digital sensors, the company said. It assesses cardiac function by sensing the seismic (contraction) forces generated by the heart. These forces are captured by accelerometers in a sensor placed on the chest. The waveforms are transmitted to a laptop computer for analysis by a physician.
It was cleared by the FDA in July 2009.
