Monitor Designed for Patient Side of Breathing Circuit

March 21, 2007

The NICO2 Respiratory Profile Monitor is designed to monitor the patient side of the breathing circuit. NICO2 goes beyond conventional capnography to measure breath-by-breath volumetric CO2 and takes the guesswork out of ventilation management from setup to weaning.

With the AluRT Advanced Lung Recruitment Tool option, the Esprit Critical Care Ventilator is integrated with the NICO2, enabling exchange of patient and ventilator data. The NICO2 is able to precisely differentiate mechanical and spontaneous breaths, eliminating the need for user-entered pressure threshold. The consolidated display allows easy correlation of patient response with ventilator changes.
