PET Infusion, Nuclear Information Systems Integrate

May 20, 2010

A new partnership enables data communication between Medrad's Intego positron emission tomography (PET) infusion system and Pinestar Technology's Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS). Interfacing the systems reduces redundant patient demographic entries and transcription errors.

Completed dose records are transferred back to the NMIS after automated fludeoxyglucose (FDG) infusion. The data integration establishes reliable communication of PET infusion schedules and histories, and will be the first of its kind in the market.
