Ultrasound System Used on Laptop or Cart-Based System

June 30, 2006

Based upon proprietary Teratech architecture, which combines the front-end fusion processor with powerful PC-based back-end data processing, the Terason echo Ultrasound system runs as a Windows application on a standard laptop computer. Its flexible design allows it to be instantly converted from a portable unit to a cart-based system.

Terason began shipping the system in January and is creating a direct sales force to represent the new product line. The company’s background in high-performance ultrasound design provides unique advantages in the field of echocardiography.

Echocardiography imaging requires superior spatial resolution, high-frame rates and sensitive Doppler performance — the Echo system delivers this in a compact imaging platform without sacrificing clinical performance.
