Vizua Debuts World’s First Interactive, Cloud-based 3-D Scan Visualization and Collaboration Platform

December 1, 2011

Vizua introduced an interactive, cloud-based 3-D scan visualization and collaboration platform at RSNA 2011. Designed to extend the capabilities of radiology practices, Vizua enables real-time exploration and sharing of high-definition 3-D views created directly from traditional 2-D scans. Because Vizua is accessed through a Web browser, the technology works on any system and costs less than today’s 2-D offerings. The easy to use syste allows access to images by both referring physicians and patients.

Vizua takes the 2-D sliced views produced by MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computed tomography) and ultrasound scans and combines them to create a 3-D model that can be viewed on any system and shared instantly with anyone around the world.

The technology is available on multiple platforms, including iPads and autostereoscopic displays.
