Welch Allyn CardioPerfect Upgrade Expands, Simplifies Spirometry Testing

September 1, 2011

Version 1.6.4 of Welch Allyn's CardioPerfectWorkstation (CPWS) software allows digital storage and more efficient review of diagnostic test data from a variety of different electronic devices.

This software upgrade expands and simplifies the ability to perform spirometry testing in medical practices working in thin-client environments. In addition, the updated spirometry module improves the ability to comply with the latest guidelines of the American Thoracic Society (ATS); it works by providing enhanced real-time quality feedback for both adult and pediatric patients. CPWS version 1.6.4 also introduces an enterprise-class configuration management feature allowing an application service provider (ASP) to conveniently manage multiple hosted physician practices on the same server; it simultaneously keeps individual practice data and configuration settings separate and secure.

With the release of this current upgrade, all CPWS clinical modules are 64-bit compatible and support the latest Windows operating systems while maintaining 32-bit compatibility.

The upgrade also offers improved workflow and user-friendly click-through installation. Other CPWS clinical modules include ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and exercise stress testing. Holter monitoring also is available through a seamless plug-in. For more information: www.welchallyn.com
