Health Canada Grants Medical Device License for SunTech Medical’s Tango M2

Health Canada Medical Device License SunTech Medical Tango M2 BP Monitor

June 18, 2014 — Health Canada granted SunTech Medical a Medical Device License for the Tango M2 Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) Monitor. This license provides cardiac stress testing labs in Canada the ability to purchase the Tango M2, the newest product in SunTech’s line of automated blood pressure monitoring.

Distributed exclusively by McArthur Medical Sales Inc., the Tango M2 monitor is already being used in cardiac stress labs at Vancouver Island Health Authority in Victoria, BC, and the University of Toronto in Ontario.

Tango M2 provides accurate BP measurements during exercise and cardiac stress testing where noise and motion often make manual measurements difficult.

The blood pressure monitor builds on the success of the SunTech Medical Tango+ monitor, with new features such as dual modes to allow BP measurements with or without an ECG signal for pre-test and recovery. The Tango M2 has improved usability with expanded BP Measurement history table, a USB port for data retrieval and field upgrades as well as a 7-inch color LCD display. SunTech Medical’s patented Orbit-K cuff will continue to be offered with the Tango M2 to help maintain proper cuff placement during patient movement in cardiac stress testing.
