January 24, 2014 — The ViScope MD by HD Medical Inc. features murmur detection capability and offers an integrated visual display to allow medical professionals to perform dynamic auscultation and “see” the heart sounds they hear in real-time visual waveforms.
ViScope MD records patient heart sounds for 10 seconds and displays a basic ‘Murmur/No Murmur’ interpretation. ViScope MD software can be used on a PC to select specific parts of the heart sound to listen to, such as S1/S2, S3/S4 and murmurs.
ViScope without murmur detection has been awarded the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance and is undergoing certification for CE marking.
