Concerns about cath lab staff exposure to X-ray radiation was one of the big drivers of DAIC reader interests in August. This image shows Tidi Products' Zero-Gravity system that provides twice the amount of protection of conventional lead aprons in the cath lab. The system is ceiling suspended so the physician does not have the weight on their back and shoulders and eliminates the need for the operator to wear lead. This system was one of the five radiation dose reduction technologies highlighted in the top article from this month.
