The Philips Lumify hand-held ultrasound technology is an important component of the mobile ECMO unit. Members of the ECMO team use Lumify for real-time visual guidance when inserting tubes in veins and arteries in a process called ECMO cannulation.
Philips Medical System is recalling its older Forte Gamma Camera SPECT imaging systems due to the possibility of the detectors falling off of the unit onto the patient. The two gamma cameras can bee seen in this photo on either side of the patient bed. These can be rotated above the patient.
An example of workflow efficiencies in newer CVIS systems. This example from Philips IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, a cardiac PACS plus CVIS system, shows a patient timeline with icons to show various tests, exams or procedures in an easy to understand format. The cath lab cardiac diagram can be modified by the user with stents and degree of stenosis, which automatically flows text information into the report.

This is a view of the Level Ex IVUS training app to help users of Philips' intravascular ultrasound system. It is integrated into a percutenous coronary intervention (PCI) training app for mobile devices that allows interventional cardiologists to perform streamlined cath lab patient case simulations, including, iFR, angioplasty and stenting.
