August 28, 2007 - Misys Healthcare Systems and iMedica jointly announced an agreement that Misys will license iMedica’s innovative electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) solutions as the foundation for a new family of physician offerings focused on small-sized practices.
Initial products, including ASP service offerings, will be announced in November 2007. The offerings will complement the existing Misys suite of solutions, including Misys Vision, Misys Tiger, Misys EMR and Misys Payerpath.
This approach is consistent with the previously stated Misys intent of focusing its activities on ambulatory solutions, software as a service, and extending offerings to ambulatory market segments. As part of this strategic agreement, iMedica will also act as a reseller of Misys’ Payerpath revenue cycle and transaction management services to its existing and future customers.
