Pingmd Extends Mobile App Partnership Agreement with Children’s Hospital of Orange County

Company will continue integrating electronic platform to strengthen communication between doctors, networks and patients

April 10, 2015 — Pingmd Inc. announced an extension of the company’s partnership agreement with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s) for integration of the pingmd 2 platform, featuring three new capabilities to further strengthen communications between doctors, networks and patients. The announcement was made during the HIMSS 15 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference and exhibition, April 13-15 in Chicago.

The pingmd platform establishes an efficient and structured dialogue between patients and doctors, and doctors and their colleagues, using a secure app which captures photographs, videos and text-based conversations. Pingmd’s case-based system enables patients to submit relevant information to their doctors, who can then immediately provide feedback, next steps and create secure documentation that is HIPAA-compliant.

CHOC Children’s and pingmd have been successfully working together to integrate pingmd throughout the hospital for over a year. The teams will continue to collaborate on identifying and adding new functionality to pingmd 2 to further improve the productivity of CHOC Children’s physicians and staff.

To simplify the workflow, pingmd’s upgrade allows the integration of certain electronic health records (EHRs) and health information exchanges (HIEs) across all platforms.

The second upgrade includes improvements to the patient engagement features, which enable better navigation of services and tracking of patients before, between or after visits.

The third upgrade enables providers to more rapidly build team referral networks and create referral directories. This capability enhances the efficiency of the virtual consultation, helping physicians build their referral networks automatically, much faster than web directories, thereby contributing to more rapid practice growth.

Pingmd Inc. is a cloud-based secure communication platform that provides messaging, voice and virtual care; integration to medical records; population health patient engagement; eVisit technology; and data and analytics of communication and care management.
