High-Definition CT Improves Images, Reduces Dose

The Discovery CT750 HD is reportedly the first high-definition CT system, aiming to improve image quality across the heart and body with less radiation dose. High Definition Cardiac CT imaging enables clinicians to accurately quantify coronary stenosis, reduce cardiac radiation dose up to 83 percent on patients and reduce artifacts from calcium blooming.

Some of these high definition technologies developed for the Discovery CT750 HD are now available on the new LightSpeed VCT XTe configuration extending the Cardiac CT capabilities to further improve image quality, workflow and to continue to reduce radiation dose.
