KeyScan Unveils First PC Keyboard with Built-In Color Scanner


April 6, 2009 – At HIMSS 2009, KeyScan showcased its new keyboard scanner that is upgraded to scan also healthcare, insurance plastic cards and driver license cards.

The KeyScan KS810-P integrated keyboard and sheet-feed scanner is reportedly the only computer keyboard with built-in full-page color scanner. It occupies the same footprint as a standard keyboard, and is designed to quickly and easily scans black-and-white and color documents ranging from smooth surface plastic cards like medical, insurance, 10 cards and driver licenses.

The KS810-P is bundled with KeyScan's exclusive
NoTouch-AutoScan software This No'Fouch Auto'Scan proprietary software lets users activate and complete the scanning process without pressing any buttons, simply by inserting a document into the scanner feeding slot. The scanned document automatically becomes a searchable PDF email attachment. In addition to email, users can choose to copy, fax or save the document to a file using PDF, Word, JPG, TIF or other available formats. Four hotkeys on the keyboard make selecting all these functions easy, according to the company.
