April 16, 2015 — Pingmd debuted its virtual care mobile app, Pingmd 3, at the 2015 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference, April 13-15 in Chicago. The platform allows virtual care coordination using messaging, voice, picture and video in asynchronous and real-time communications securely.

In addition to virtual care, pingmd 3 incorporates the newly announced capabilities of the pingmd 2 platform that further strengthen communications between doctors, networks and patients. These include a tailored specialty patient engagement capability; the ability to quickly and efficiently build team referral networks and create referral directories; and the integration of electronic health records (EHRs) across all platforms.

The pingmd platforms establishes an efficient and structured dialogue between patients, doctors and care networks using a secure app which captures photos, videos and text-based conversations. Pingmd’s case-based system enables patients to submit relevant information to their doctors, who can then immediately provide feedback, next steps and create secure documentation that is HIPAA-compliant.
