The Perclose ProGlide 6 Fr. Suture-Mediated Closure System delivers a secure, reliable vessel closure to provide complete tissue apposition resulting in primary healing, reduces time to hemostasis, ambulation and discharge, and does not have any reaccess restrictions.
The device uses a polypropylene monofilament suture that retains knotted tensile strength. It is designed to minimize inflammatory response.
The device has an ergonomic design that allows for single operator procedure. It is short sheath compatible with long and short wires and has a hydrophilic coating straight tip sheath facilitates insertion.
The device received FDA clearance in 2007.
