ProSolv Releases New CIIMS Solution

March 10, 2009 - ProSolv CardioVascular, a FUJIFILM company, has released its newest software version Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular 4.0.1, featuring an integrated ECG management capability and integration with the Siemens Sensis Hemodynamic system.

Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular 4.0.1 will be one of several new products highlighted at ACC 2009 this month.

The company's previous software release, version 4.0, enhanced the product to be a Web-based application using Web communication protocols and a Web URL single-click application download and installation for easier deployment across the enterprise. Now Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular 4.0.1 takes that Web foundation, along with its vendor- and hardware-neutral attributes, and provides additional third party integrations that reportedly will greatly increase efficiencies in the diagnostic process for cardiologists and the cardiovascular staff.

Facilities can now manage and coordinate every ECG from any department, including the ED. Anywhere there is Internet access, with a single sign-on physicians can review, edit, confirm and print resting ECG and Holter monitor data. By significantly speeding exam retrieval time -- in some cases up to 50 percent -- the quality and delivery of care is enhanced. The ECG Management Module is powered by Epiphany Cardiography.

Data from the Siemens Sensis Hemodynamic system can now be imported directly into the Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular database as well as into the cardiac catheterization report template. This direct import of data saves time and reduces the potential of error by eliminating the need for manual data entry. In addition, integration with Siemens Sensis allows healthcare providers to capture information required for the ACC-NCDR data registries for outcomes reporting. And when used with Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular's ACC-NCDR CathPCI Registry Module, the need to manually search for required submission data is eliminated, so valuable staff time can be focused on patient care.

This unified platform follows suit with parent company Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, who this past fall announced the deployment of a completely integrated solution for PACS, RIS, cardiovascular imaging and women's imaging. The company reportedly became the first major vendor to deliver seamless, Web-based access to all radiology, mammography and cardiovascular images and information, as well as to all RIS data and reports, from one workstation, with a single sign-on and familiar user interface.
