Invatec, Cardiovascular Systems Pen Distribution Agreement for PTA Balloon Catheters

April 10, 2009 — Invatec has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Cardiovascular Systems Inc. (CSI) under which CSI will distribute Invatec’s FDA-cleared percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon catheter product line in the U.S.

The CSI and Invatec sales forces will partner in selling the Amphirion Deep 0.014-inch PTA balloon catheter line, as well as the Submarine Plus 0.018-inch PTA balloon catheter and the Admiral Xtreme 0.035-inch PTA balloon catheter lines.

Invatec and CSI share a vested interest in the market of peripheral intervention technology and both are developers of solutions that treat critical limb ischemia (CLI) and other peripheral procedures. The two companies are reportedly dedicated to collaborating with physicians for the development of their product lines and as such, are able to provide the tools necessary for physicians to improve the outcomes of their patients and enhance the quality of their lives.
