Avreo Partners With VidiStar Cardiology PACS

January 21, 2013 — Avreo announced it has formed a partnership with VidiStar LLC, a provider of cardiology medical imaging and reporting solutions using the latest technological standards for image interpretation, clinical analysis and medical reporting. As a result of the partnership and licensing agreement, Avreo and its channel partner network will act as distributor for VidiStar. The Avreo and VidiStar products will feature integration to further incorporate cardiology into Avreo’s overall medical imaging workflow.

Using the integration between Avreo and VidiStar, healthcare organizations can manage workflow activities such as scheduling and patient management within the Avreo interWORKS RIS/PACS (radiology information system/picture archiving and communication system) while also empowering cardiologists to launch the VidiStar Cardiology PACS from interWORKS. The report created by the cardiologist within VidiStar will automatically be sent back into Avreo to be incorporated into the patient’s overall master folder history.

“We are excited to work with Avreo in licensing our imaging and patented reporting solution for cardiology,” said Craig A. Walker, MHA, CEO of VidiStar. “This partnership is a win-win for both companies since our cardiology technology enhances Avreo’s workflow solution and allows VidiStar to further expand our market share.”

“Our new partnership with VidiStar extends cardiology capabilities for our customers, combining Avreo’s complete workflow management with VidiStar’s sophisticated cardiology viewer and reporting,” said John Sloan, CEO for Avreo. “VidiStar’s state-of-the-art cardiology solution is elite in its market space and will provide our healthcare organizations with a robust solution including RIS, PACS, EHR [electronic health records] and now, cardiology.”
