Digisonics Simplifies the Pediatric Cath Reporting Workflow

Digisonics Cardiac PACS Pediatric Cath Reporting

February 7, 2013 — Digisonics CVIS now provides capabilities designed specifically for pediatric cath reporting. With the #1 KLAS ranked Digisonics Cardiology PACS (picture archive and communication system) and Structured Reporting System, clinicians can quickly review their pediatric cath studies and record their findings in a structured report, improving their turnaround times and the overall quality of patient care.

The Digisonics CVIS also offers direct submission to the ACC IMPACT Registry Database for pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease undergoing diagnostic catheterization and catheter-based interventions.

Additional benefits of the Digisonics pediatric cath reporting system include Mullins and Mayer congenital heart diagrams, image comparison mode and data mining. Congenital heart diagrams may be modified using graphical drawing tools and drop down labels with autopopulation of pressures and measurements from hemodynamics systems. Compare mode in the Digisonics CVIS enables users to review images side-by-side on dual monitors with automated image playback tools. The data mining package provides clinicians the ability to conduct searches on any combination of fields within their pediatric cath report or database. This application improves overall departmental efficiency by allowing users to extract clinical information for use in research and statistical summaries, compile necessary statistics required for accreditation, and track activity from referring physicians. Search results can be exported into Excel or ASCII format and plotted in graphs for easy review.

The DigiView Cardiology PACS and Structured Reporting System, ranked Best in KLAS in the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software and Professional Services reports for the Cardiology market segment, combines high performance image review workstations, a powerful PACS image archive, an integrated clinical database, comprehensive measurements and calculations package and highly configurable reporting for cardiovascular modalities. The DigiNet Pro add-on option provides users with fully functional web-based access to their cardiovascular studies from anywhere at any time.
