ZOLL Among Only Three Medical Equipment Companies on Forbes Top 100 List

June 1, 2007 —ZOLL Medical Corporation, a manufacturer of resuscitation devices and related software solutions, was named one of America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies by Forbes.

Of the approximately 8,500 public companies reviewed to compile the list, ZOLL ranked 25th and was among only three Medical Equipment & Supplies companies listed.

The research, conducted by Audit Integrity for Forbes, was based on corporate governance best practices. In the independent firm’s judgment, companies making this list "showed the highest degree of accounting transparency and fair dealing to stake-holders during 2006."

“We believe strongly in the importance of providing shareholder
value,” said Richard A. Packer, ZOLL’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Inclusion on the Forbes list of most trustworthy companies recognizes our efforts to show the highest degree of accounting reliability over financial reporting. It is also indicative of our commitment to save lives by engineering and manufacturing the world’s most advanced, most efficacious resuscitation devices.”

ZOLL’s pioneering medical products for treating sudden cardiac arrest, the world’s number one cause of death, have been instrumental in improving the quality of CPR.
They include:
-AutoPulse, an innovative CPR machine that automates chest compressions
-Defibrillators containing Real CPR Help, adding auditory and visual real-time feedback on the rate and depth of chest compressions to encourage high-quality CPR, which maximizes blood flow
-LifeVest, a wearable external defibrillator
-See-Thru CPR, a new technology that helps to minimize interruptions in CPR, one of the key recommendations of the American Heart Association’s Guidelines for Advanced Life Support
