An example at HIMSS of deeper third-party software integration in enterprise imaging platforms was Siemens Healthcare showing a new, deep integration with echocardiography strain imaging analysis provider Epsilon Imaging. The integration eliminates the need for a separate login and the Epsilon software is now just a tool option available in the syngo system and it carries over data and images directly into the echo report.

A lone vendor booth in a sea of open space in a corner of the expo floor at HIMSS 2021 this week. A large number of vendors decided to pull out of exhibiting at HIMSS in recent weeks because the host city of Las Vegas saw a major surge of COVID cases over July, reaching a 20.2% positivity rate on the day HIMSS began.

ScImage Inc., a provider of cloud-centric cardiovascular and radiology enterprise imaging and reporting solutions, announced a partnership with Cardiology Consultants PA (CCPA). The Spartanburg, S.C., cardiology group consists of 14 physicians, six nurse practitioners, three office locations and a newly opened office-based lab/ambulatory surgical center (OBL/ASC) servicing upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina. ScImage provided a CVIS, or cardiovascular information system.
