The LifeVest is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), and it provides constant monitoring, immediate protection and peace of mind. The LifeVest monitors the heart constantly and records patient data to help diagnose and treat life-threatening arrhythmias. When it detects a treatable arrhythmia, an alarm sounds, giving a conscious patient time to stop the treatment. This is a key difference between the LifeVest and an implanted defibrillator.
