New suite integrates TomTec's multimodality imaging platform for image analysis and review

February 23, 2015 — Agfa Healthcare announced the commercial launch of its Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology Suite and strategic relationship with TomTec to provide a unified cardiology diagnostic and clinical imaging solution. The solution will be on display at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2015 meeting, March 14-16, 2015 in San Diego.

Agfa Healthcare Enterprise Imaging is a care-centric workflow platform which is standards-based, improves interoperability and enables a comprehensive patient health record across departments within a single facility or between multiple facilities. Hospital groups, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or public and private health information exchanges (HIEs) can develop and efficiently share unified patient records containing both images and textual information. This platform offers hospitals and networks a long-term, value-based answer that aligns with their electronic health record (EHR) strategy by having departments all working within the same imaging system.

Key to its functionality, Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology leverages TomTec’s multimodality platform for image analysis and review. TomTec’s processing toolsets are designed to be integral to the Cardiology Suite and do not require separate services to be deployed or configured. Task-based workflows allow for dynamic and adaptive flow of information to users, locations and departments based on myriad different variables. Clinicians can perform their work in a single session, obviating the need to go to different departments, workstations and systems. With Enterprise Imaging for Cardiology there is no need to utilize multiple advanced processing solutions, thus removing the extra steps required and enhancing workflow efficiency.
