November 25, 2013 — Barco, a supplier of diagnostic and visualization systems, will demonstrate a wide array of imaging technologies focused on providing an integrated approach to patient care. Barco will present its latest display systems, networked digital OR solution and interactive patient care products at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA 2013) Dec. 1-5 in Chicago.

Barco recently received the Frost & Sullivan Product Line Strategy Award for Diagnostic Imaging Displays, recognizing the Coronis Fusion 6MP (six-megapixel) display system and Mammo Tomosynthesis 5MP display system as two products that increase productivity and maintain the best possible image quality.

Coronis Fusion 6MP LED
The Coronis Fusion 6MP LED display system provides radiologists with an efficient viewing platform that increases clinical productivity and reduces eye strain. Optimized glass, intelligent sensors and other patented technologies ensure clear images to enable fast, accurate diagnosis. More than 13,500 Coronis Fusion 6MP DL display systems are installed around the globe.

Barco Mammo Tomosynthesis 5MP
The Barco Mammo Tomosynthesis 5MP is the only digital mammography display that has been indicated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) specifically for breast tomosynthesis. Featuring up to four times the brightness and double the lifetime of other mammography displays, it also presents up to 15 percent increased conspicuity of small microcalcifications.[1]

Clinical review displays
Barco’s clinical review displays provide specialists with accurate and precise images. They complement multi-modality radiology workstations, ensuring consistent images on every display across the network.

Nexxis OR
Hospitals are realizing the benefits of smoother workflow through networked integration of surgical displays and peripherals in the OR. Barco’s Nexxis OR-over-IP solution delivers high-quality imaging, near-zero latency and real-time communications for a connected, flexible approach to surgery.

CareConnex
CareConnex provides a gateway to central medical information for a more convenient, patient-centric workflow, enhancing efficiency and coordination among clinicians and staff, while offering patients a dynamic, interactive terminal for entertainment, communications and education. CareConnex software is powered by Hospedia.

MediCal QAWeb
The industry’s only online, automated quality assurance and calibration service for both desktop displays and mobile tablets, Barco’s MediCal QAWeb maximizes uptime and display performance using a centralized, interruption-free approach to ensure consistent images on every display connected to the network. There are 60,000 displays managed by MediCal QAWeb worldwide.

MediCal QAWeb will be connecting hundreds of partner displays across the RSNA 2013 floor to ensure peak performance.

Additional RSNA information
Barco will continue its support of Hologic’s Breast Health Educational Hands-On Workshops at RSNA, which combine lectures and hands-on experiences to provide digital mammography and tomosynthesis training for radiologists.
