Biliary Balloon Dilator Delivers Procedural Efficiency

A new single-use biliary balloon dilator, MaxPass delivers procedural efficiency through rapid balloon deflation for the time-sensitive team conducting Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP). It is designed to work with the Olympus JF/TJF and V-System duodenoscopes.

MaxPass eliminates the traditional procedural slowdown that typically occurs during balloon deflation. Extra-wide balloon inflation lumens on the dilator, along with a new balloon material, minimizes downtime while waiting for deflation and reduces the chance of balloon damage.

To deliver more reliable performance and keep the balloon from slipping during dilation, the balloon incorporates a unique shape. While maintaining the site contact section at the required length, the tapered sections of the balloon have been shortened.

As well as being transparent, the new balloon material allows the dilator to maintain a compact shape when deflated. This shape makes it easier to pass the balloon through a stricture, forceps elevator or endoscope channel.

MaxPass is available in balloon diameters of 4, 6 and 8 mm and balloon lengths of 20, 30 and 40 mm.
