Interface Enables Use of RIS/PACS for ECG Storage, Editing

Changing the entire paradigm of ECG management from the “data island” concept to the complete longitudinal patient information system, Mortara’s DICOM ECG interface connected live to Cerner’s CVNet Cardiovascular Information System enables clinicians to use their existing RIS/PACS system for storage and editing of ECGs.
The Mortara DICOM ECG viewer uses the “Modality Worklist” to order ECGs just as if working with conventional radiology modalities. When other diagnostic modalities such as Holter and stress testing DICOM modalities are released, they will be able to utilize this ordering environment that includes name vs. PID conflict resolution and scheduling.
