November 12, 2013 — Aycan will feature its mobile iPad application, which is designed to quickly, easily and securely transfer DICOM images from hospitals and imaging centers to on-call and other radiologists and referring physicians with an iPad, at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA 2013) in Chicago.

Aycan Mobile’s simple interface and robust feature set are designed for remote review, interpretation and diagnosis of radiological images; reviewing images at patient bedsides; teleconsulting with colleagues; distributing images in house and more.  Together with OsiriX Pro, a cost-efficient post-processing workstation, Aycan Mobile improves workflow with key features including lossless JPEG2000 compression, automatic 256-bit advanced encryption standard (AES) encryption and multiple series comparison and synchronization. Aycan Mobile is available in the Apple App Store and has both U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance and the CE mark.

aycan is presenting during the Apple Spotlight event held in conjunction with RSNA. aycan was invited to demonstrate how to integrate the iPad and Mac into a radiology workflow to achieve improved productivity at minimal cost.  During the demonstration they’ll use and discuss their related products, including its post processing workstation aycan OsiriX PRO.

Currently, aycan offers specialty workstations for Mammography, Oncology, and Vessel Analysis, which have been developed with medical technology partners. All specialty workstations offer excellent image-loading times and intuitive-user interfaces.

During the presentation, aycan will also feature its FDA-cleared aycan mobile ipad App for Teleradiology, which is designed for easy, fast, and secure viewing and transfer of DICOM images with an iPad.

aycan OsiriX PRO is a 64-bit fast, Mac-based, vendor-neutral, highly functional advanced image-processing tool and DICOM PACS workstation for conventional, multi-slice and other image reading. Based on the open source project OsiriX, aycan’s version is turnkey with FDA 510 (k) clearance, CE Marking, and full integration-service and customer support. Several features/plug-ins have been added to OsiriX PRO significantly expanding its functionality. Featured plug-ins at this year’s RSNA will include the new aycan mobile iPad app, FusionSync, advanced hanging protocols, vessel analysis,  IB-neuro, 4-D ROI statistics, and ejection fraction.
