LIFE-STAT is Reportedly the Only Hands-Free Automatic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation System

Michigan Instruments Inc. has introduced its LIFE-STAT, reportedly the only completely hands-free automatic cardiopulmonary resuscitation system compliant with all American Heart Association 2005 Guidelines.

LIFE-STAT performs continuous or 30:2 sternal chest compressions and automatic ventilation. Designed to accommodate a wide range of patients including bariatric patients, LIFE-STAT adjusts to insure a 20 percent anterior to posterior (AP) compression depth in order to maintain needed coronary perfusion pressures. Response teams in both the pre-hospital and hospital environment have the ability to deliver therapies including defibrillation while LIFE-STAT performs CPR.
