Ziosoft to Show New Clinical Functionality, Workflow Optimization Tools

November 5, 2009 - Ziosoft has developed flexible workflow tools and additional clinical functionality for the Ziostation system. The Ziostation system is based on a highly scalable, true thin-client architecture that requires no proprietary or specialized hardware components. The advanced workflow optimization tools include a customizable user interface, configurable user workflows and anatomy-specific automatic segmentation using Ziosoft’s proven, intelligent algorithms that combine increased efficiency and diagnostic functions with state of the art performance.

New 3D and 4D applications (which are pending regulatory clearance in the U.S.) that will be previewed include:

• MR applications: brain perfusion, cardiac perfusion and delayed enhancement analysis
• SPECT/CT fusion analysis
• 4D CT brain perfusion analysis
• Integrated Medicsight colon CAD

Ziosoft’s full suite of FDA-cleared 3D analysis applications include:

• CT vascular analysis
• CT cardiac analysis
• CT brain perfusion analysis
• CT colon analysis
• MR cardiac analysis
• Multi-modality fusion

Each application leverages the unique capabilities of the Ziostation to deliver diagnostic functions and performance across the enterprise using true thin-client architecture. The optional Versaweb feature expands the reach of Ziostation’s thin-client system to virtually any computer with a web browser and requires no installation of client software, applets or plug-ins. Versaweb provides essential 3D analysis and real-time collaboration tools on a secure website over low bandwidth. Original and saved images as well as reports can be shared by authorized users in real time from a centralized source to optimize the flow of care.
