Covidien Severs Ties with Tyco International

July 5, 2007 – Covidien Ltd., formerly known as Tyco Healthcare, recently spun off from Tyco International, began trading on July 2 at the New York and Bermuda Stock Exchanges, marking its debut as an independent diversified healthcare products company.
Covidien brands include Autosuture, Kendall, Mallinckrodt, Nellcor, Puritan Bennett, Syneture, U.S. Surgical and Valleylab, and its products compete in medical devices, imaging solutions, pharmaceutical products, medical supplies and retail products. As part of its imaging solutions business, it provides radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and contrast delivery systems across X-ray, MRI and nuclear medicine.
