RFID Cabinet Maker Expands Overseas Production

February 9, 2010 – In response to increasing demand for its radio frequency identification (RFID) units in Europe, Terso Solutions Inc. has formed Terso GmbH in Mannheim, Germany.

The company will assemble RFID-enabled refrigerators, freezers and cabinets,as well as provide technical and customer support for the European market in a variety of industries, including healthcare, life sciences and security.

Its RFID cabinets, freezers and refrigerators help manage item-level inventory of high-value products directly at the point of use via Internet and secure-access control. Since 2005, Terso has worked with product manufacturers, distributors and end users to enable them to reduce inventory management costs, write-offs due to expiration date management, and to improve their ability to meet regulatory requirements.
