ASE, LifeIMAGE Partner to Bring Image Sharing Service to Members

June 14, 2011 — The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and lifeIMAGE today announced a partnership that will give ASE members the ability to exchange medical images and data with anyone, anywhere.

Beginning with a member pilot program this summer, ASE members will have access to lifeIMAGE Network Cloud Service (LINCS) accounts to receive, view, and share imaging information instantly and securely, with no need for software or private network connections. Access to lifeIMAGE will allow for easier collaboration between colleagues and institutions, and streamlined diagnostic processes. Each society member will be provided with a free account soon after completion of the pilot.

LINCS accounts can be used to collect referral imaging, distribute results, enable distance consulting, or aggregate images for teaching files or peer review. ASE members will be able to upload exams from discs, share data with peers, and invite colleagues to share images.
