Cardiovascular Research Foundation, Harvard Angiographic Core Lab Collaborate for Research

November 1, 2011 – The Angiographic and Imaging Core Laboratories of the Clinical Trials Center (CTC) at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) in New York have formed a collaborative alliance with the Angiographic Core Laboratory of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HFMP). Led by distinguished physicians Gregg W. Stone, Jeffrey J. Popma and Gary S. Mintz, the collaborative research alliance will be known as CRFiCOR.

CRFiCOR is now united in contracting and performing research projects at its New York City and Boston campuses to provide expert clinical research support and comprehensive imaging Core Lab services for trial sponsors, investigators and hospitals. The new CRFiCOR alliance, as part of the CRF Clinical Trials Center, will specialize in all aspects of core laboratory analysis, including coronary angiography, carotid and peripheral angiography, intravascular imaging and structural heart disease assessment (including valve interventions), as well as electrocardiography, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging.

CRF’s Angiographic and Imaging Core Laboratories are one of the world’s leading centers for independent investigation, having performed highly complex analyses for hundreds of trials over the last two decades. HMFP’s Angiographic Core Laboratory has performed independent angiographic analyses and interpretations for 14 years in Boston. Collectively, CRFiCOR has performed imaging studies in more than 100,000 patients.
