Blackford Analysis Launches Range of Image Comparison Products at RSNA 2013

Matchedcrosshairs RSNA 2013 advanced visualization pacs accessories fusion

November 7, 2013 — Blackford Analysis, a provider of software products that accelerate comparison of medical images, announced it will launch its complete product range at the 2013 Radiological Society of North America Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting (RSNA 2013) in Chicago.

Designed to be integrated directly into any image viewer, such as a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), Advanced Visualization Viewer or Universal Viewer, Blackford Analysis’ products work within existing systems to enable instant comparison of multiple image studies.

At RSNA 2013, Blackford will demonstrate the four key elements of its software:
  • MatchedCrosshairs enhances any image viewer to allow users to click once on a location in any scan to instantly find the same location in multiple scans from different time points and/or different modalities (computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or positron emission tomography (PET)).
  • MatchedView enables any image viewer to automatically compensate for changes in patient position and acquisition planes between scans, automatically presenting views of compared exams in the same position and plane, enabling like-for-like comparison.
  • AutoSync gives image viewers the ability to perform slice synchronization across exams automatically regardless of differences in acquisition protocol and patient positioning, allowing immediate reading when compared exams are displayed.
  • Fusion enables image viewers to display accurate anatomical location of functional imaging findings by displaying fused views of exams from the same, hybrid or complementary modalities.

Blackford will be located in the North Hall, booth 8507.
