At the 2013 Radiological Society of North America’s annual meeting (RSNA 2013), aycan, a provider of  picture archive and communications system (PACS) solutions, will highlight new release plugins for its post-processing workstation, aycan OsiriX PRO, which significantly expands the functionality of its specialty workstations for mammography, oncology and vascular surgery. These include a new hanging protocol plugin for the aycan Mammography Workstation, aycan Oncology Workstation with RECIST and FusionSync plug-ins and the aycan Vessel Analysis Workstation with vessel analysis plug-in. All workstations offer fast image-loading times and intuitive user interfaces.

The mammography workstation offers advanced hanging protocols, optimized for mammography workflow, ensure a fast and consistent reading of studies. 
 
The oncology workstation enables oncologists to easily read images from various modalities and export key images, including calculations, and compare them with priors. Plug-ins include RECIST and FusionSync. 
 
The vascular surgery workstation offers pre-operative planning and plug-ins for vessel analysis
 
All workstations offer excellent image-loading times and intuitive-user interfaces. Increasing their capability is companion product aycan mobile, the FDA-cleared iPad App for Teleradiology, which is designed for easy, fast, and secure viewing and transfer of DICOM images with an iPad.  OsiriX PRO is a 64-bit fast, Mac-based, vendor-neutral, highly functional advanced image-processing tool and DICOM PACS workstation for conventional, multi-slice and other image reading. Based on the open source project OsiriX, aycan’s version is turnkey with FDA 510(k) clearance, CE marking, and full integration-service and customer support.
 
aycan will also showcase aycan print, the original DICOM paper-print solution, which now features a wider array of out put solutions and more flexible and economical pricing models. aycan print is an inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and easy way to communicate with referring physicians and patients—customers can save 90% on film costs.
